Integrated Fashion Series : Dress

Hello readers! I'm back with another post! This time I was told to create something in an artistic way. What I aimed for was the big ol' modelling industry. It is also inspired by a film called 'Neon Demon' staring Elle Fanning.

The Neon Demon is a good example of how the industry works. Jesse(Elle Fanning) moves to LA to pursue her dream of modelling , she wasn't expecting how competitive it would be. In the film , Jesse was young , beautiful , glowing like a doll , confident. While most of the other models , completely opposite, insecure, unhappy , filled with envy.

Jesse's attitude stays like that throughout the film , even when the other girls try to bring her down. She speaks figuratively, and says things like 'women kill to look like me' , 'women carve and stuff , praying that one day they'll look like me'. The girls would actually kill to get to the top , but in real life , it's more of a figure of speech. People would say ' omg i'd kill to have your eyelashes' as in ' i would love to have your eyelashes.'

Society's standards have brought women down and we've always felt the need to be ahead of each other , like a race. Now the industry in real life , isn't as crazy compared to this film is. I have seen that society is accepting more diversity , and I praise them for that. If only people were more accepting , especially in a country like Cambodia..how great would that be?
